Special menus of the Tartu County Culinary Region are available from 15 September to 15 October 2025
Tartu County is the Culinary Region of Estonia in 2025. Throughout the year, various exciting initiatives and events will take place. You will have the opportunity to enjoy special menus created especially for the Culinary Year. The menus are two or three courses and are inspired by the food history of Tartu County. At least 50% of the ingredients used are local, including products carrying the Tartu County food label. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Bon appétit!

In October, the Alatskivi Castle restaurant will also join the providers of special menus, offering a program of ghostly dinners. The experience takes visitors back 140 years, to a time when the castle had no electricity and all activities took place by candlelight.
