A long-awaited festival experience
This summer, Tartu welcomes something the Estonian festival scene has been waiting for. On 3-4 July 2026, Tartu Punch will make its debut at the Tartu Song Festival Grounds. This exciting new international alternative pop music festival is set to become one of the highlights of the summer.
Turn your festival visit into a relaxing city break
When you’re coming to Tartu Punch, it’s well worth staying for the whole weekend – or even longer.
The festival takes place at the Tartu Song Festival Grounds, nestled between two of Tartu’s most distinctive neighbourhoods: Supilinn and Tähtvere. On one side, you’ll find Supilinn’s colourful wooden houses, street art and scenic riverside paths along the Emajõgi. On the other, Tähtvere Recreation Park offers plenty of green space for walking, exercising or simply unwinding. Thanks to Tartu’s compact size, the city centre is just a short walk away.
Before or after the concerts – or even in between – stroll through the beautiful University of Tartu Botanical Garden, browse the shops and galleries in the city centre, enjoy Tartu’s cosy cafés and restaurants, or visit the A. Le Coq Beer Museum. If the weather is warm, don’t forget your swimwear – the Emajõgi is right next to the festival grounds and offers a refreshing place for a swim.
You can also discover Tartu with a local guide. Throughout the summer, guided walking tours take place every Saturday, offering a great introduction to the city. For even more ideas and inspiration for your stay, explore our summer guide.
