In 2025, Tartu County will be Estonia’s official Culinary Region. This title is a great chance to bring even more attention to the area’s strong food culture and growing role in food tourism.
Following the success of Tartu 2024 – European Capital of Culture, the new Year of Flavours invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy the best tastes the region has to offer. You’ll find innovative food businesses, unique recipes, and exciting food events across the county. “Tartu County has an excellent opportunity to promote local food culture,” says Madis Pärtel, Chair of the national Culinary Region committee. “The region stood out for its innovative and science-based approach to food and nutrition.”
