Tartu Cathedral

Tartu Cathedral on beautiful Toome Hill is Estonia's only two-towered medieval church. Construction began in the 13th century and was completed at the beginning of the 16th century. The cathedral is one of the most outstanding examples of Brick Gothic in Old Livonia. Every night, artwork combining Nordic folklore and modern design illuminates the walls.

The University of Tartu Museum, which introduces the history of science and university education, operates there. There is also the Toompood store, and visitors can also go up the cathedral’s spires, which offer beautiful views.
