Running events will take place at Toomemägi this weekend, bringing several traffic restrictions to Tartu.
On Friday, 4 October, the Friday Night Run will be held around Toomemägi, and on Saturday, 5 October, Tartu will host 42 km, 21 km, and 10 km races on the city streets. Streets will be closed as little as possible during the event, and crossing points will be designated along the race routes. All major roads intersecting with the course can be crossed after the runners have passed. Streets will gradually reopen to traffic as soon as possible.
Local residents are advised to consult the event organiser, Klubi Tartu Maraton MTÜ (contact person: Indrek Kelk, indrek@tartumaraton.ee, 516 3260), or contact the nearest race official by phone if they need to drive.
