Seminar and conference rooms of Emajõgi-Suursoo Nature Centre
On the site of the Nature Centre building was the Uus-Kastre fortress, built in the 14th century to protect the diocese of Tartu. After the need for the fortress disappeared, the Kantsi tavern opened its doors there. When the tavern was closed, the building was in ruins for a long time. The heritage-protected building is located in the Natura 2000 area.Today, the centre by the Emajõgi River can be rented for events (there are seminar rooms, kitchen, sauna, terrace, campfire site). The rooms are equipped with projectors and speakers. We can offer accommodation for up to 20 people. The 3 km long Emajõgi study trail starts at the centre. Next to the building, there is a possibility to moor a boat and use a slip.
