Aparaaditehas Festival is taking place on August 30th and 31st

The ninth Aparaaditehas Festival celebrates ten years of the local culture factory.

On the last weekend of August, life in the Kastani-Filosoofi quarter will once again be in full swing, as the ninth Aparaaditehas /Widget factory Festival will take place. It invites you to discover both the culture factory celebrating its anniversary and the neighbourhood around it.

On Friday, August 30, the Galeriide öö / Gallery Night will be held with a comprehensive program, where in addition to the galleries, the doors of the art studios and other tenants of the Aparaaditehas will be open. As part of Gallery Night vol 13, this time visitors can take part in the opening of eight exhibitions, five different tours, a dance performance on the roof and several exciting workshops and talks. Biit.me record store DJs keep the mood up in Pocket Park, and a pop-up record store is also open.

On Saturday, August 31, Kastani street will be closed to car traffic, and traders and street caterers will take their place there. The Karud & Pojad art and play yard is open for families in the pocket park of the factory, where you can make crafts as well as play. Ajuokse’s alternative art market is bigger than ever this year and, in addition to the Samelin courtyard, it also flows into the Plantarium plant shop, where a traditional plant fair is also held. Saturday evening ends with Ajuokse V:birthday festival in Ajuokse Avangaar, where motonormal, Valge Tüdruk, GØK2, ants1, Kalli Talonpoika and the Sunshine Band will perform.
