On Saturday, 2nd of August at 5 PM a tour titled “Contemporary Old Town. Foreign and Familiar Tartu” begins at St John’s church.
On the tour we’ll take a walk through the Old Town and Toomemägi. We’ll talk about history, architecture, culture, nightlife, and the people of Tartu. It’s a stroll along the paths of Tartu’s influence and spirit. We’ll talk about what is “strange” and no longer there, as well as what remains and feels familiar and the people and stories behind it all. The tour is an overview of Tartu and its people — of eternal youth, quests, choices, and turning points.
