Sorry, I just woke up. Exhibition

In Gallery Pallas, on Friday, 09.01. at 5 PM, the joint exhibition “Sorry, I just woke up” by the sculpture department students of the Pallas University of Applied Sciences will be opened.

Everything begins somewhere. Nothing is born into emptiness, and no great thing appears with a magical flash. In legends and myths this may indeed happen, but the real world works differently. The real world is slow, clumsy, sometimes painful, and sometimes so delicate that it is hard to put into words. It is precisely into that world that the exhibition “Sorry, I just woke up” invites you.

The display does not try to be finished or perfect, does not try to give the impression that everything is already in place. On the contrary, the exhibition opens the door to a moment when the artist is just waking up, still half asleep, still searching for their voice. To be a moment where everything is still raw and honest, where every movement is a little uncertain and every thought a little fresh. In the gallery space, the artists tell their stories, artists who are on the way, not arrived. They do not hide their fears or anxiety, but they also do not hide the joy that sometimes unexpectedly flows in. Their works are like fragments of life that have not yet taken shape, but already carry something essential within them. Something that whispers quietly, if you know how to listen. In the exhibition one can feel that special moment of transition, where a person is no longer who they were, but not yet who they will become. A state that is at once fragile and powerful. Like the first breath after a long sleep. Like light that is not yet bright, but already enough to see the contours.
