Come and visit Tartu and South Estonia at tourism fairs too!

The year begins with tourism fairs where new travel plans, fresh ideas, and inspiring partnerships take shape. In 2026, South Estonia and Tartu will once again be represented both in nearby markets and across Estonia, introducing our region’s diverse nature, culture, and tourism services.

Here is an overview of the fairs where the South Estonia Tourism Cluster will be present this year, along with opportunities for local businesses to take part.

MATKA, the largest travel fair in the Nordic countries, takes place from 15–18 January 2026 in Helsinki, Finland. It is Northern Europe’s biggest tourism event, bringing together travel enthusiasts and industry professionals from nearly 70 countries. Visit South Estonia and Visit Tartu will be represented at the Visit Estonia stand.

Balttour, the largest travel fair in the Baltic States, will be held from 6–8 February 2026 in Riga, Latvia. The fair opens the tourism season each year by introducing the latest travel products and services to visitors. South Estonia and Tartu will have their own dedicated area at the fair.

Tourest, Estonia’s largest international travel fair, takes place from 13–15 February 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia. It is the oldest tourism event in the Baltic region, bringing together travel dreams, experiences, and professionals. South Estonia and Tartu will be presented as a complete and welcoming destination.

Maamess, where rural life, food, and experiences meet, will be held from 23–25 April 2026 in Tartu. It brings together rural entrepreneurship, food, and tourism, offering a great opportunity to showcase South Estonia’s experiences and services.

The region will be represented by the South Estonia Tourism Cluster together with the brands Visit Tartu and Visit South Estonia. Our goal is to introduce South Estonia as a diverse and distinctive destination, a place to relax, explore, and return to time and again.
