The special menus of Tasty Tartu (Maitsev Tartu), the restaurant month taking place for the 12th time this year, bring fresh and exciting flavours while highlighting local ingredients. Visitors can choose between 26 different restaurants, including five brand-new spots joining the event.

In addition to the main menus, most restaurants offer vegetarian adaptations and have paired their special menus with carefully selected drink packages.

According to Kaili Ojamets, Head of the Entrepreneurship Development Department at the City of Tartu, interest in Tasty Tartu has continued to grow over its twelve years of offering culinary experiences. This applies both to restaurants and to visitors from Tartu and beyond. In 2025 alone, more than 27,000 three-course special menus were sold during the campaign month, an impressive result for a city the size of Tartu.

The success is also reflected internationally. In October 2025, Tasty Tartu received first place at the European Cultural Tourism Awards, where the campaign was praised for strengthening Tartu’s winter visitor experience, keeping regional food culture vibrant, and promoting sustainability through thoughtful planning.

From 1–28 February 2026, special dining experiences await at 26 restaurants: Antonius, Aplaus 1870, Bar Parallel, Chaplin, Chez André, Crepp, Dorpat, Fii, Gastronomist, Humal, Kampus, Kolm Tilli, Lihuniku Äri, Pahad Poisid, Paper Tiger, Pazzo, Pierre, Pompei, Puente, Püssirohukelder, RP9, Sinimandria, Spargel, TOKO, Vilde ja Vine, and Vint.

Prices for the three-course special menus range from 35 to 38 euros.

You can explore all menus and restaurants on the official campaign website.

Ahead of the main month, on 28 and 29 January, Restaurant TOKO, last year’s audience favourite, will host exclusive five-course special dinners. More information about these events can be found on the Tasty Tartu Facebook page.

The special menu evaluation jury included Kerli Jalas, finalist of MasterChef Estonia Professionals Season 12, Kairi Timusk, vocational teacher and competition mentor at VOCO, Eliis Sasmil, Young Chef of the Year 2025, and Marilin Kroon, Head of Food and Service Economy at the City of Tartu.

Tasty Tartu is an annual February restaurant month designed to enliven the low season by offering affordable three-course special menus in the city’s best restaurants. The campaign plays an important role in preserving and developing Tartu’s food culture. Over the past eleven years, more than 195,000 menus have been served and nearly 200 special menus have been created specifically for the event.
